Your site’s structure consists of sections, file and folders. With the SpinPike Structure Editor the administrator obtains a full control over the site’s structure – to add, delete and move the sections, create new site versions etc.

The Structure Editor performs the following functions:

• Add and remove sections
• Manage section properties
• Create hidden sections
• Create the number of site versions

Sections

We use the section tree to facilitate the site navigation. The section tree allows user to view the full-scale site structure and jump to any section quickly. It performs the same way as Windows Explorer sections tree, so it’s easy to use without any special training.

Each section has it’s specific properties:

Name: It is the name of the section that will be displayed both in the site menu and site map. It is advised that you make it a logic name.

Date: The section creation date.

Sort by Date: The subsections within the created section will be listed in descending order by the creation date. That is the subsections created last will be displayed first. This option is especially valuable when posting news in the News section.

Hide: If you activate this option, the designated section will not be displayed in the site menu or site map. With this option you can create special service sections accessible only to a limited number of authorized users. You can also deactivate the temporarily 'under construction' sections.

External link: The created section can link to any external Internet site.

Template: Defines the way the section will be displayed in the browser.

META keywords: Help users find your site in the search engines.

META description: The same as keywords, it helps users find your site in the search engines.

Image: It is an image attached to the given section. Only one image can be attached to the section.

Sorting index: determines the subsection position in the list of subsections within the given section.

Headline: The section description or an excerpt from the section content, if it is a piece of news.

You can easily edit the site headline using the embedded Visual Editor (WYSIWYG).

Versions

With the help of our Structure Editor you can easily create unlimited number of site versions. These may be lingual version or different versions for dealer and company clients. Each version has its independent structure.

Versions have the following properties:

• Name
• Language
• Keywords
• Description
• Image

You can add a new version, edit or delete the existing ones.
